The Portia Clever Health Association Service is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, using standardized assessment tools.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each client’s unique needs, goals, and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective interventions tailored to mood disorders.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to enhance well-being.
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal care.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to deliver integrated care for clients requiring multidisciplinary support.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to continually improve therapeutic approaches.
• Maintain thorough, confidential documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards, ensuring client privacy and trust.
• Participate in case consultations, professional development workshops, and team meetings to share insights and learn best practices.
• Advocate for clients, focusing on reducing mental health stigmas and addressing their unique needs within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with clients facing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will address diverse backgrounds and experiences, including individuals from vulnerable populations, such as those who are homeless, refugees, or survivors of domestic abuse. Your contribution will be vital in helping these clients rebuild their lives and achieve emotional stability.

Qualifications

• Possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field, providing a strong theoretical foundation for practice.
• Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for establishing trust and rapport with clients.
• Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude that encourages clients to open up about their struggles.
• Show strong organizational and time-management skills, allowing for effective case management and adherence to treatment protocols.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of direct clinical experience in a mental health or therapeutic setting, working with mood disorders.
• Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities specifically for mood disorders is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate client records efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to USD 90,000, based on qualifications and relevant experience.
