Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients either in their homes or through virtual platforms, adapting to each client's needs while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to assist children and adolescents with anger management, coping skills, and social skills development.

• Address high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious actions and aggression, employing proactive strategies to mitigate these issues effectively.

• Enhance the decision-making skills of both adolescents and their caregivers, thereby promoting healthier family dynamics and effectively managing behavioral challenges.

• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team to design and implement tailored treatment plans, ensuring all documented materials, including intake forms and progress reports, are completed and submitted punctually.

• Participate in monthly professional meetings, providing insights and recommendations that contribute to team goals and best practices in therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on delivering therapeutic services to children and adolescents aged 3-20, specifically targeting those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. By working closely with families, the LMFT will aim to improve mental health outcomes and foster resilience among clients who may experience challenges related to their conditions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license for practice in Washington state is mandatory.

• A minimum commitment of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM) is necessary; flexibility on weekends is highly desirable.

• Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for client home visits are required.

• All candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, prior to employment.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
