As a contract speech-language pathologist, you’ll use your experience and passion to make an impact on students with limited verbal skills, many of whom communicate with assistive devices.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid state license (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or eligibility for CFY supervision
• Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
• Background in pediatric and school-based speech-language therapy
• Comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative therapy to elementary students with profound communication needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
• Support students in mastering communication using AAC and other devices
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize each child’s progress
• Regularly document student progress and participate in IEP and team meetings
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that celebrates each child’s achievements
