Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Begin treatment by performing thorough preliminary interviews and mental health evaluations that document each client's case from the initial consultation through to treatment completion.

• Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring alignment with best practices in mental health care.

• Facilitate Therapy Sessions: Lead dynamic and engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing a range of therapeutic techniques to promote client engagement and healing.

• Track Client Progress: Assess and monitor treatment effectiveness regularly, making adjustments to intervention strategies as necessary to optimize client outcomes.

• Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate comprehensive care and address the multifaceted needs of clients.

• Manage Client Referrals: Maintain an efficient referral system for clients requiring additional services, ensuring seamless transitions to specialized care where necessary.

• Support Families: Provide guidance and resources to family members and primary caregivers, helping them to understand and manage their loved ones' behavioral health challenges effectively.

• Ensure Ethical Compliance: Adhere strictly to confidentiality protocols and ethical guidelines in line with regulatory standards in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele who may experience various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and more. Given the telehealth nature of our services, you will engage with patients across various age groups, demographics, and backgrounds, fostering an inclusive, supportive therapeutic environment tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW within the state of Illinois is essential.
\n
• Recommended to have successfully passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate accurate documentation and effective communication with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in mental health counseling, particularly in a telehealth setting or with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.

• A solid understanding of the psychological and physiological impacts of mental health disorders and their treatment options.

• Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and knowledge of commonly prescribed medications is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and establish trusted therapeutic relationships.
