Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments to evaluate the mental health and substance use history of clients, setting personalized treatment goals based on their unique circumstances.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of each patient.

• Facilitate individual counseling sessions using techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to foster engagement in the recovery process.

• Lead group therapy sessions that provide peer support, foster community, and address common challenges faced by individuals in recovery.

• Coordinate care by collaborating with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.

• Provide crisis intervention during substance-related emergencies, offering immediate support and resources to clients in need.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery techniques, and available community resources to enhance their support network.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations, ensuring a shared understanding of patient care strategies and therapeutic progress.

• Stay informed of the latest research and best practices in substance use disorder treatment to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our focus is primarily on individuals suffering from substance use disorders, many of whom may also face co-occurring mental health issues. The ideal therapist will be experienced in working with diverse populations, understanding the various social, cultural, and economic factors that affect recovery. By providing tailored treatment in a supportive and non-judgmental setting, they will play a pivotal role in helping clients overcome significant barriers to their recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois is essential for this role.

• Strong knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery-oriented care, and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Demonstrable experience providing individual and group therapy, specifically within addiction treatment settings.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a non-judgmental and empathetic demeanor.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in using relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
