Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine therapeutic needs and goals for children and adolescents.

• Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that respect developmental stages and consider family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other modalities, to address a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, equipping parents and caregivers with strategies to foster supportive home environments.
\n
• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care strategies and track patient progress.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, maintaining a calm and effective response to urgent situations.
\n
• Educate families about mental health disorders and available resources, empowering them to participate actively in their child’s care.
\n
• Document treatment plans, session notes, and progress accurately in compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Participate in team meetings for case discussions and professional development, contributing insights from your clinical experience.
\n
• Stay informed about current research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health, attending workshops and training sessions as opportunities arise.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this position is primarily on children and adolescents struggling with various mental health challenges. You will work with individuals ranging from early childhood through late adolescence, addressing conditions such as anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, and more. Developing strong relationships with patients and their families is key to fostering a supportive healing environment. Your role will significantly impact their overall mental health and well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience working specifically with child and adolescent populations.

• A deep understanding of developmental issues and evidence-based practices in child and adolescent mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
