Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents using evidence-based techniques to identify psychological needs.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that align with the developmental stages of each child and consider their unique family dynamics.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions—such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy—to address individual mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers to foster a nurturing home environment.
\n
• Work in close collaboration with child psychiatrists and fellow mental health professionals to ensure a coordinated, holistic therapeutic approach.

• Provide crisis intervention for children and adolescents experiencing acute mental health challenges, ensuring immediate support is available.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment methodologies, and local community resources that can provide additional support.
\n
• Maintain confidential patient records in compliance with legal regulations and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in team meetings and professional development activities, contributing to case discussions and sharing insights from current research and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on providing mental health services to children and adolescents facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral disorders. You will play a pivotal role in addressing the psychosocial needs of this vulnerable population, tailoring interventions to their distinct developmental phases and circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• Possession of a current and valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience working with children and adolescents is preferred.
\n
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders specific to children and adolescents, along with familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in providing both individual and family therapy interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and related software tools for efficient practice management.
\n
• The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing positively to the team dynamic.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in delivering family therapy and participating in program development for youth mental health services.

• Familiarity with community resources available for children and families, and ability to navigate referrals effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
