Work Environment\n

As a remote employee, you will be part of a supportive and dynamic team at Positive Progress Counseling Center. While our outpatient office serves as the hub for client services, the flexible, virtual work structure allows for a healthy work-life balance, enabling counselors to deliver care effectively from various settings. Our regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, promoting consistency in client interactions.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their unique needs and developing tailored treatment plans.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to address issues related to aging, loss, and significant life transitions.
\n
• Engage in grief counseling to support residents and their families dealing with the complexities of end-of-life issues, providing guidance and compassion.
\n
• Educate family members and staff on effective strategies to support emotional well-being and enhance the quality of life for older adults.
\n
• Document all client interactions and treatment progress per organizational protocols, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

• Participate in regular clinical supervision meetings to discuss cases, receive feedback, and engage in professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position will primarily focus on providing mental health services to elderly clients who are coping with various emotional and psychological challenges. Issues may include grieving the loss of loved ones, adjusting to retirement, managing chronic illnesses, and overcoming depression and anxiety related to the aging process. Your role will be pivotal in fostering resilience and promoting mental health in this vulnerable population.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.

• Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting.

• Eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Washington.

• A valid driver's license in good standing is required for any necessary travel to client locations.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with clients.

• Exceptional listening skills and the capacity to provide guidance while maintaining empathy.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, the role offers a sign-on bonus. Employees are eligible for monthly productivity bonuses to reward exceptional performance.
