This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility and a balanced work-life schedule. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms related to eating disorders, co-occurring mental health issues, and specific treatment needs.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with assessment findings and work collaboratively with clients to set realistic and achievable recovery goals.
\n
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) tailored to individual client needs.

• Lead therapy sessions aimed at helping clients understand and address their distorted beliefs surrounding body image, self-worth, and food behaviors.
\n
• Teach clients effective coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and actionable plans to deter disordered eating patterns.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals on the treatment team to ensure a cohesive treatment approach that addresses clients' diverse and holistic needs.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to foster understanding of eating disorders and maintain a supportive environment both in and out of therapy sessions.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in professional development through participation in team meetings, case conferences, and training opportunities tailored to the treatment of eating disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is working with individuals struggling with various eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. Clients may also present with co-occurring mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding these individuals toward healthier relationships with food, body image, and self-acceptance.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Proficiency in recognized evidence-based therapies for the treatment of eating disorders, including CBT, DBT, and ACT.

• A thorough understanding of the complexities involved in treating eating disorders and associated mental health conditions.

• Exceptional communication skills to establish trust and rapport with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of experience working in a mental health setting, particularly with populations facing eating disorders.

• Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated mental health care.

• Previous involvement with psychoeducation initiatives for clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
