Full-Time Physical Therapist for Home Care at Premier Health and Wellness Center

Premier Health and Wellness Center in Woodbridge, New Jersey, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team in a full-time capacity. Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, providing services through our home care facility. While you will have a predictable schedule of Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, flexibility may be necessary to accommodate varying patient needs. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, collaborating to create a supportive and effective treatment environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to improving patient mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities aimed at enhancing physical well-being and facilitating pain relief.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, equipping them with comprehensive home exercise programs to empower their recovery.
• Administer treatment modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound, under your supervision to enhance rehabilitation efforts.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking key indicators like range of motion and strength improvements.
• Prepare treatment areas and organize therapy supplies and equipment to ensure they are readily available for patient sessions.
• Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize each patient's therapeutic journey.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement, creating a positive and motivating environment throughout patients' rehabilitation processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all patient interactions, safeguarding their rights and privacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse group of patients in their homes, including seniors recovering from injuries, children needing developmental support, and adults rehabilitating from surgeries. Our multi-faceted patient population requires you to adapt your approach to suit their individual rehabilitation needs, ensuring that everyone receives personalized and effective care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist is mandatory.
• Proficient understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, and clinical physiotherapy skills, with an emphasis on rehabilitative techniques.

Preferred Experience

While at least one year of relevant experience in a clinical setting is required, we strongly encourage candidates who have experience in home care or working with diverse patient populations. Familiarity with treatment modalities and a commitment to continuous professional development will be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
