Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial mental health assessments and interviews, documenting client backgrounds and treatment progress throughout their journey.

• Develop and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans that reflect the specific needs of individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, deploying therapeutic techniques that foster client engagement and promote healing.

• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes, using data from sessions to guide clinical decisions.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Provide ongoing support to family members and caregivers, equipping them with resources and strategies to manage their loved ones' mental health challenges.

• Follow up on referrals as necessary, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for clients who require additional support.

• Keep abreast of current trends in psychotherapy and participate in ongoing professional development to refine skills and implement best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this position, you will primarily serve a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role will involve customizing therapeutic approaches to suit the unique experiences and needs of each client, ensuring culturally competent and effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• Successful completion and passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, with a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques and client management.
\n
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for clinical documentation and client tracking.
\n
• Thorough understanding of co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, as well as knowledge of addiction disorders.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a capacity to convey empathy and support effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in a telehealth setting, is preferred.

• Familiarity with the best practices recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A strong background in understanding the pharmacological effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals.

• Previous experience in a role that emphasizes collaboration with other healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits\n
