Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and mental health interviews, maintaining comprehensive documentation from the first consultation through the entire course of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, using evidence-based practices and clinical judgment to inform treatment planning.
\n
• Design and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on assessed needs.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques to encourage progress and foster healing.
\n
• Monitor client progress consistently, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as clients evolve through their recovery journey.
\n
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create holistic intervention strategies.

• Follow up with hospitals and other health facilities regarding clients admitted for inpatient treatment to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Identify and prevent behaviors that impede recovery, equipping clients with strategies to navigate challenges.
\n
• Engage with families and primary caregivers to provide tools and support for managing clients’ mental and behavioral challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a broad spectrum of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Our client population encompasses individuals, couples, and families of diverse backgrounds, including various age groups and cultural demographics. Your approach will be client-centered, with an emphasis on creating a safe space for exploration and healing through telehealth modalities.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or equivalent in New York State.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating effective clinical skills and a strong understanding of psychotherapeutic principles.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms, to ensure accurate documentation and client tracking.
\n
• Thorough understanding of mental health conditions and associated treatment methodologies, including experience with addiction disorders.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams focused on integrative healthcare approaches.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and standards.

• Solid understanding of pharmacology related to mental health, including psychoactive medications and their effects.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and fellow team members.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on empathy and active listening.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
