Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Managing a diverse caseload of clients, establishing trust-filled therapeutic relationships while upholding professional ethics.

• Conducting regular sessions with clients to assess progress, discuss stability, and determine the timing for potential discharge.

• Creating, implementing, and revising individualized treatment plans centered around the specific needs and goals of each client.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Performing comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of new clients and determine appropriate interventions.

• Leading individual therapy sessions on a weekly basis, using various techniques suited to the client’s therapeutic goals.

• Engaging in individual supervision to aid in personal and professional development.

• Collaborating with other healthcare providers in a networked environment to ensure holistic client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role predominantly focuses on youth, engaging with adolescents and young adults who may be experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and substance use disorders. Your work will not only address immediate mental health needs but will also support long-term resilience and coping strategies among vulnerable populations.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Valid and current LPC licensure in the state of Connecticut.

• Ability to meet internal credentialing requirements specific to clinical settings.

• A minimum of one year of experience in mental health counseling, particularly with psychiatric patients or individuals battling substance abuse.

• Proficient in conducting assessments, diagnosing, and facilitating both individual and group therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
