Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial consultations with patients to evaluate their mental health status through structured assessments and interviews.

• Engage with clients regularly via telehealth sessions, providing practical tools and resources to empower them in overcoming their challenges.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care and make appropriate referrals when needed.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment progress using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Provide crisis intervention and create safety plans for clients exhibiting acute distress or risk factors.

• Implement culturally responsive strategies in therapy and maintain a focus on inclusivity in treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Grandview, you will work with a diverse population facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Our clients come from varied backgrounds, and they rely on our counselors to provide empathetic, personalized, and culturally sensitive support that promotes healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A minimum of four years of related professional experience in mental health counseling or therapy.
\n
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, diagnostic frameworks, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Excellent crisis intervention skills and the ability to stay composed during high-stress situations.
\n
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with diverse clientele.
\n
• Proficiency in using EHR systems and comfort with computer applications for telehealth services.
\n
• Adherence to ethical guidelines and professional boundaries, emphasizing client confidentiality.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a telehealth setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
