Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and assessments to inform treatment planning and intervention strategies.

• Design and implement tailored treatment and recovery plans that address the individual needs of clients, using evidence-based modalities.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a nurturing environment that encourages open dialogue and support among participants.

• Monitor and document client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary in response to evolving needs.

• Utilize electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to maintain accurate and timely documentation of client encounters and treatment outcomes.

• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and relevant psychotherapeutic advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups facing an array of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. Being sensitive to cultural and socioeconomic factors is essential to effectively support our client population in achieving holistic well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• Successful completion of NCE or NCMHCE exams to demonstrate competency in mental health assessment and intervention.

• Proficient in electronic health record systems and technology to facilitate telehealth engagements and documentation.

• Strong communication skills that enhance engagement with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare providers.

• High level of empathy and interpersonal skills, allowing for a therapeutic rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counselor role, ideally within a community health clinic or similar setting.

• Knowledge of dual diagnoses and expertise in working with individuals facing addiction disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.

• Familiarity with psychopharmacology and an understanding of the effects of prescribed medications on mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
