Vice President of Human Resources
Our client is seeking an accomplished HR executive to lead the people function for a growing, multi-state organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can develop long-term people strategies while building the processes and infrastructure needed to support continued growth.
As a key partner to executive leadership, the VP of Human Resources will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, organizational development, performance management, and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational structure, compensation, culture, and talent strategy
- Direct HR operations across a multi-state employee population
- Oversee recruiting, employee relations, benefits, compensation, performance management, compliance, and employee development
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Develop effective talent attraction, retention, and succession strategies
- Drive leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and change initiatives
- Support acquisitions and business expansion, including employee integration, onboarding, benefits transitions, compliance, and communications
- Build scalable HR processes, reporting, and workforce metrics
- Oversee HR technology, including ADP Workforce Now, and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Manage relationships with benefits brokers, consultants, recruiting partners, and other HR vendors
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Foster an engaged, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- 3 to 5+ years in a senior HR leadership position
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or comparable senior-level HR certification
- Proven multi-state HR experience
- Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance
- Experience leading HR teams in fast-paced or growing organizations
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Strong executive presence, communication, and business-partnering capabilities
- High degree of professionalism, judgment, and confidentiality
Preferred Experience
- Master's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- M&A, employee integration, or rapid-growth experience
- Vendor, broker, and consultant management
- HR technology, automation, and process improvement experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $150,000–$200,000
