Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document detailed case histories from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring comprehensive patient records.

• Evaluate and assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health using evidence-based practices, ensuring that treatments align with the specific needs of each individual.

• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and group therapy formats, promoting effective treatment outcomes.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for clients to explore their feelings and experiences.

• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize recovery and well-being.

• Collaborate efficiently with an interdisciplinary team, including mental health specialists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers, to enhance client interventions.

• Provide follow-up support with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients transitioning into community care from inpatient treatment.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and develop strategies to prevent and mitigate these issues.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental behavioral challenges, ensuring a systemic approach to client care.

You will have the opportunity to work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other behavioral health issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience in delivering mental health counseling services, with an emphasis on therapeutic techniques and client engagement.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for efficient patient management and documentation.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in addressing both mental and physical health conditions, including addiction disorders, providing a holistic perspective on client care.

• Working knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices, demonstrating commitment to industry standards.

• In-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects, allowing for informed discussions with clients regarding their treatment options.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information in a clear and empathetic manner.

• Strong interpersonal skills that cultivate trust and rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.

Life Well Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by various benefits.
