Atlas Psychological and Counseling Center is actively seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our dedicated team in Lakewood, New Jersey. Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while still fulfilling responsibilities from our outpatient office when needed. Our team meets regularly to ensure comprehensive support and integration of care for our clients. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history, which is essential for tailoring effective treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience building, and coping skill development.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Deliver engaging individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, hone coping mechanisms, and foster emotional wellness.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other professionals, to ensure a well-rounded approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stabilizing effects.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation and records, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and best practice standards.

• Engage in case consultations, participate in team meetings, and advance your professional development focused on trauma-informed care best practices.

• Commit to continuous learning by staying up to date with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals affected by various types of trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our diverse patient population ranges from adolescents to adults, many of whom are seeking a pathway toward healing and improved mental well-being. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping these individuals reclaim their lives through targeted therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, with a strong focus on trauma-related disorders.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related therapies and the resilience-building process.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused interventions and therapeutic modalities effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to care.

• The ability to remain calm and collected in high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications necessary for record-keeping and patient management.

• A collaborative spirit, capable of working harmoniously within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
