This role is 100% remote, allowing for a flexible work schedule tailored to your lifestyle. You will work within a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, ensuring integrated and comprehensive care for every patient. Although the work is primarily conducted from home, regular virtual meetings and consultations will facilitate team collaboration and support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and develop appropriate treatment strategies.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience-building techniques.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist patients in their recovery.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process traumatic experiences and cultivate healthy coping strategies.
\n
• Work closely with psychiatrists and a team of professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring holistic treatment approaches.

• Offer crisis intervention and support for patients during emotionally distressing incidents and trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions and assessments in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings focused on trauma-informed care principles.

• Continuously update knowledge by engaging with recent research and best practices related to trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets individuals who have experienced trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and related dissociative disorders. You will work with a diverse patient demographic, including adults and adolescents, providing critical support and therapeutic interventions to guide them in their healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in New Jersey.

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in mental health treatment is preferred.
\n
• Strong knowledge base in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.

• Demonstrated experience utilizing trauma-focused therapies and effective interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage high-stress situations.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable with various computer applications.

• Collaborative mindset, capable of working within a multidisciplinary team to enrich patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
