Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, which will guide treatment planning.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience, and coping strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to individual patient needs.

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma, cultivating coping mechanisms, and fostering an environment of healing and understanding.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and effective management of acute stress responses.

• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, available coping resources, and support mechanisms to aid recovery.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves a diverse range of clients, primarily focusing on individuals impacted by trauma. This includes those battling PTSD, complex trauma cases, and various dissociative disorders. As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Harmony Minds, you will work with patients from different backgrounds, requiring sensitivity and adaptability in your therapeutic approaches. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is strongly preferred.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and competency in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficiency in engaging in trauma-focused therapies and therapeutic interventions.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a non-judgmental, empathetic disposition.

• Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-stress situations.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and common computer applications.
\n
• Strong capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in delivering group therapy and facilitating peer support sessions is highly desired. Previous exposure to crisis management and skills training for trauma survivors will enhance your candidacy. Familiarity with community resources and support systems for trauma victims will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
