Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Mental Health Therapist will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to gather background information and determine appropriate treatment paths for each patient.

• Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, coping strategies, and resilience-building.

• Administering evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a platform for patients to process their traumatic experiences while fostering a sense of community and support.

• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to offer integrated care that addresses the holistic needs of patients.

• Providing crisis intervention as needed, ensuring timely support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educating patients and their families about the effects of trauma, coping mechanisms, and community resources available to aid in their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will support a diverse client population, often consisting of individuals looking for effective ways to heal from psychological distress and regain their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a mental health setting focused on trauma.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, ensuring patient well-being.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
