Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health and trauma histories.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that aim for resilience and recovery with clearly defined goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma and developing essential coping strategies for their daily lives.

• Engage in collaborative care by working closely with psychiatrists and healthcare team members to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies to safeguard patient stability.

• Inform patients and their families about trauma responses, creating understanding and awareness, as well as discussing available resources.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and accountability.

• Participate in regular consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focusing on trauma-informed care best practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research developments in trauma therapy to adapt and enhance your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your skills and experience will be vital in creating tailored approaches to therapy that foster healing and empowerment. Both individual and group therapy settings will allow you to connect with a diverse client base, offering support as they work through their healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed interventions and therapeutic modalities.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard software applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting focused on trauma care is preferred.

• Hands-on experience with trauma-focused therapies, including EMDR and TF-CBT, will be strongly considered.

Compensation and Benefits\n
