Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to fully understand patients' trauma histories and create personalized treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized therapeutic strategies that focus on trauma recovery and resilience, utilizing therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and instill a sense of empowerment and healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care that addresses the multifaceted aspects of trauma.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients have swift access to critical resources.

• Educate patients and their families on the impact of trauma, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to foster ongoing support.

• Maintain detailed and confidential records of patient progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities focused on trauma-informed care to refine your clinical skills.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to provide the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals recovering from trauma-related disorders, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be responsible for addressing the unique needs of these patients, using a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety and emotional support, while empowering them on their journey towards healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy, capable of effectively engaging patients in their recovery.

• Proficiency in using EHR systems and various computer applications to facilitate efficient record-keeping and patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience working with trauma survivors or in a related mental health setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
