Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' histories and mental health needs.

• Develop and execute personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique journey toward recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing diverse techniques that empower clients to process trauma and develop healthy coping strategies.

• Collaborate with various healthcare providers to create cohesive, integrated care plans that meet the diverse needs of our clientele.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed, offering immediate support and guidance during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and leverage available community resources effectively.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with ethical standards and organizational policies, ensuring confidentiality and legal compliance.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work directly with clients who have experienced significant trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociation. You will play an essential role in guiding clients through their recovery processes, facilitating hope, understanding, and empowerment as they navigate their mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling, with a focus on trauma issues preferred.

• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills. Must exhibit a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to maintain composure and supportive communication during high-stress situations.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

• Commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience delivering specialized trauma-focused therapies and demonstrated efficacy in working with diverse populations will be highly valued. Familiarity with community resources for trauma survivors, as well as experience integrating alternative therapeutic modalities, is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to USD 110,000, commensurate with experience.
