Atlas Psychological and Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team as a full-time remote therapist. Work Environment\n

Our practice operates through a telehealth model, allowing flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of our patients. We operate Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some adaptability required based on patient demands. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's trauma history and guide the treatment planning process.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient, focusing on trauma recovery and building resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing traumatic experiences, developing effective coping strategies, and fostering healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating an ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

• Educate patients and their families on understanding trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance your competency in trauma-informed care.

• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, contributing to our clinic’s knowledge base and treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position specifically focuses on working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your clinical expertise will directly impact the recovery journeys of our diverse patient population, allowing you to contribute positively to their healing and overall mental health.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably in trauma-focused therapy.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment strategies.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage patients compassionately and effectively.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth technologies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
