Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to gather insight into clients’ trauma histories and mental health needs.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on individual goals, resilience-building, and trauma recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support clients' healing processes.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to process traumatic experiences, cultivate coping strategies, and foster emotional well-being.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and integrated care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention during episodes of heightened distress, ensuring clients receive immediate support.
\n
• Educate clients and families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring seamless continuity of care.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training in trauma-informed care practices, staying informed of emerging research and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patients primarily consist of individuals dealing with the effects of trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By addressing the needs of this vulnerable population, you will play a critical role in helping them reclaim their lives through effective therapeutic options.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of New York as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.

• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly those focused on trauma.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster a compassionate therapeutic relationship with clients.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with strong clinical skills, especially in trauma-focused care, will be strongly considered. Experience in facilitating group therapy and intervention programs is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
