Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and identify personalized treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and cultivate resilience in our patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in processing trauma, developing healthy coping mechanisms, and promoting emotional healing.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure coordinated and integrated care tailored to each patient’s needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies, as well as informing them about available resources and support systems.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards to ensure high-quality care.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on the latest advances in trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with emerging research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work predominantly with adults and adolescents who are navigating the effects of trauma, including PTSD and complex trauma. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and may be dealing with a range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges resulting from traumatic experiences. Your role will be crucial in helping them understand their trauma, build coping strategies, and work towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver trauma-focused therapeutic interventions, ideally with two years of post-licensure experience.

• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and a commitment to utilizing trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach towards clients.

• Ability to handle high-stress situations with composure and professionalism.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient patient management.

• Collaborative attitude, capable of working effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
