Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' psychological needs and history, tailoring treatment plans to ensure effective intervention.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience-building strategies, and coping mechanisms.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Guide both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote emotional regulation.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless and integrated care tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances.

• Provide crisis intervention support, effectively managing trauma-related emergencies with composure and professionalism.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, available resources, and coping strategies to foster understanding and support.
\n
• Ensure precise and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing standardized electronic health records (EHR) systems.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development focused on trauma-informed care and therapeutic best practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to enhance your practice and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your patients will primarily include individuals from diverse backgrounds who have faced varying degrees of trauma. You will engage with clients struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, and related disorders, promoting a safe and supportive healing experience that addresses their emotional and psychological needs.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York state.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that foster trust and build rapport with patients and their families.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications essential for telehealth documentation.

• A calm demeanor under pressure with the capability to manage high-stress situations effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
