Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history, emotional state, and individual treatment needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery and enhancement of resilience, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) tailored to each patient’s circumstances.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma experiences, building coping strategies, and promoting emotional healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and additional healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated, holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing your professional expertise to de-escalate challenging situations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Caring Companions, you will primarily work with clients who have experienced significant trauma. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential for effective patient management and record keeping.
