Work Environment\nThis position operates entirely through a telehealth setting, allowing for flexibility and convenience in your work schedule. You will be equipped with the latest teletherapy tools and software to deliver effective treatment and maintain engagement with clients. Our supportive virtual environment promotes teamwork and collaboration among our mental health professionals, enhancing the quality of care provided. The expected work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some potential flexibility to address patient scheduling needs.
Key Responsibilities\nAs a Licensed Mental Health Therapist specializing in trauma, your key responsibilities will include:

- Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history and formulate appropriate treatment strategies. \n
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, resilience building, and overall mental wellness. \n
- Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide patients through their healing process. \n
- Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing their trauma, fostering coping strategies, and encouraging personal growth. \n
- Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a well-rounded approach to patient care, including integrated mental health strategies and pharmacological support. \n
- Providing crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive immediate support and care. \n
- Educating patients and their families regarding trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and available resources for ongoing support. \n
- Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation in line with legal, ethical, and professional standards, ensuring the confidentiality and welfare of all patients. \n
- Engaging in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance your understanding and application of trauma-informed care practices. \n
- Staying current with evolving research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually provide the highest level of care. \n
In this role, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced varying degrees of trauma, including those suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This diverse patient population requires a tailored approach to care, ensuring that each individual receives the specialized support they need to foster healing and reclaim their lives. Your compassionate guidance will be crucial in helping patients navigate the complex emotional landscape that accompanies these experiences.
Qualifications\nTo be successful in this position, candidates must have the following qualifications:

- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) in the state of New Jersey. \n
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a strong focus on working with trauma-related disorders. \n
- In-depth knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to therapy. \n
Preferred candidates will have experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions, as well as a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to remain patient and calm in high-stress situations. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications is also desired.
