The Outlet Youth & Family Support Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our multidisciplinary team in providing compassionate and specialized mental health care for trauma survivors. This full-time, remote position is centered around delivering trauma-informed therapy while working in a supportive outpatient environment.

Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility and convenience of a remote work setting with resources available to support telehealth sessions. While the majority of your work will be conducted from home, you will still engage collaboratively with colleagues through virtual meetings, case consultations, and team collaborations. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ histories and diagnostic needs, facilitating tailored treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and holistic wellness.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, equipping clients with essential coping strategies and promoting emotional healing.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available resources for continued support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in ongoing case consultations and team meetings to enhance approaches to trauma-informed care, sharing insights and innovative strategies.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to continuously improve practice standards and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our ideal candidate should possess a genuine passion for helping individuals from diverse backgrounds who have experienced trauma. You will engage primarily with clients battling PTSD, childhood trauma, and complex dissociative disorders. Understanding the needs and nuances within these populations will be crucial in providing appropriate and effective therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must hold a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of New Jersey.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care, with proven competencies in delivering trauma-focused therapies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and empathetic demeanor toward clients.

• A calm and composed approach to crisis situations, ensuring a stable and supportive experience for clients.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiar with computer applications necessary for telehealth services.

• A collaborative spirit to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in clinical mental health settings, with an emphasis on trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
