Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner will work primarily in a school setting, providing care directly to students and their families. This role is situated in a vibrant, community-focused environment that fosters teamwork and encourages proactive health management. The schedule typically runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics until 8:00 p.m., as well as opportunities for weekend community outreach events.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings for individuals and families, using evidence-based practices to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, emphasizing preventive care and health promotion tailored to the community's specific needs.
• Collaborate with local community organizations to develop and implement health education programs, aiming to improve public health literacy and encourage proactive health behaviors.
• Advocate for patients' rights and equitable access to healthcare services, ensuring culturally sensitive care is delivered across all interactions.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care to guarantee continuity of care, working closely with other healthcare providers when necessary.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
