Work Environment

You will work onsite in a school environment, engaging with students, faculty, and their families. The position emphasizes collaboration with educational staff and parents to create a holistic approach to student health. The work schedule typically runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics until 8:00 p.m. Participation in community outreach events and health fairs on weekends may be required, allowing you to extend your impact beyond the school setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings for students, addressing both acute and chronic health concerns.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage various medical conditions while promoting preventive care and health education tailored to the school population.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to identify health-related barriers to learning and develop appropriate interventions.
• Advocate for students’ health rights, ensuring access to necessary resources and services.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and provide follow-up care to ensure continuity in student health management.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations to maintain high standards of care.

Your primary focus will be on the student population within the schools in Henderson, Nevada. Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner, with an active Nevada state nursing license.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with a Master’s Degree preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, ideally in community health or school health settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to connect and communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 – 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
