Work Environment\n

The work setting for this position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to provide services from your own home while still engaging with students and staff in a school environment. Although the majority of the work will be conducted remotely, there will be regular virtual interactions with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all aspects of a student's wellbeing are accounted for.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth psychosocial assessments that evaluate the mental health needs of children and adolescents, identifying both strengths and challenges.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, adapting modalities to meet the diverse cultural backgrounds and unique needs of clients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and family systems therapy, to foster positive change.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that include specific goals, interventions, and progress metrics to guide therapy sessions.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including educators and mental health professionals, on comprehensive treatment plans to provide holistic care.

• Provide crisis intervention services, including conducting risk assessments and creating safety plans for clients facing immediate challenges.

• Advocate for clients' rights, connecting them to community resources and services that support their individual needs and circumstances.

• Participate actively in community outreach initiatives, enhancing mental health awareness and reducing stigma associated with seeking help.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LICSW at Access Mind Counseling LLC, you will primarily work with a diverse population of students aged 5-18, including those from varying socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of these students face challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics that impede their personal and academic growth. Your role will be pivotal in helping them navigate these hurdles and develop healthy coping mechanisms.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
