Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct and electronically document thorough bio-psychosocial assessments that evaluate mental health, substance abuse, and medical needs of clients in the detox center.

• Provide individual and group counseling to clients, including conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering crisis interventions aligned with the immediate needs of patients.

• Create and maintain progress notes, documenting client progress, response to treatment, and any changes in condition consistent with best practices in mental health care.

• Facilitate referrals to local resources, including community agencies and medication assistance programs, effectively linking clients with the support they need for recovery.

• Collaborate with Quality Improvement teams to enhance care delivery through systematic data collection and analysis, contributing to ongoing organizational improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve individuals experiencing substance use disorders accompanied by mental health challenges. This population often presents with acute psychological distress, and your expertise will be vital in administering therapeutic techniques and interventions that promote stabilization and recovery. You will work closely with clients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team to develop treatment strategies that respect clients' diverse backgrounds and cultural identities.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits\n
