Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Happy Body Therapy, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Consulting with patients to gather comprehensive information regarding their physical conditions, medical history, and symptoms.
• Conducting detailed assessments to diagnose movement dysfunctions and strategize individualized treatment plans for effective rehabilitation.
• Educating patients in the correct application of therapeutic exercise techniques to enhance recovery and improve mobility.
• Administering specialized techniques such as manual therapy, massage, and stimulation to accelerate healing and reduce pain.
• Assisting patients in learning to use mobility equipment, including wheelchairs and walkers, to foster independence in daily activities.
• Maintaining meticulous patient records that document goals, progress, and revisions to treatment plans to ensure continuity of care.
• Providing patients and their families with guidance on home treatment options, exercise regimens, and lifestyle adjustments to support ongoing recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse patient population encompassing children and adults across various diagnoses, including post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and pediatric developmental issues. Your role will be critical in aiding these individuals to overcome physical challenges, enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and their families.
• Proficient computer skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a variety of environments, adjusting approaches as necessary to meet individual patient needs.

Preferred Experience
