Work Environment

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work in our modern hospital setting in Henderson, where a dynamic and supportive environment is fostered. You will engage directly with patients every day, offering hands-on therapy in well-equipped treatment areas. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of our patients and clinic operations, ensuring that we provide optimal care at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering high-quality care by following the individualized treatment plans developed in collaboration with licensed Physical Therapists.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and essential activities to promote rehabilitation and pain relief, showcasing different techniques based on patient progress.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics, self-management strategies, and home exercise regimens designed to enhance their recovery and prevent future injuries.
• Administer various modalities under the direct supervision of Physical Therapists, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapies to maximize therapeutic effects.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, document outcomes, and adapt treatment plans as necessary to support ongoing recovery goals.
• Prepare and organize treatment areas and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are readily accessible for effective therapy sessions.
• Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care and optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a positive environment that promotes healing and motivation.
• Adhere strictly to ethical standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Possession of a valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Demonstrated understanding of anatomy, physiology, therapeutic interventions, and the clinical applications pertinent to physical therapy.
• Capacity for executing therapeutic exercises and modalities competently under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on patient education and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

Access Health Care Solutions offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to USD 80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
