Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans, which include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and various modalities tailored to each patient's needs.
• Provide hands-on support to patients, helping them with mobility training and functional exercises that promote recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress diligently, relaying crucial observations to the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
• Educate patients on the effective use of assistive devices and provide guidance on home exercise programs and self-care techniques.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout treatment sessions, maintaining a supportive and encouraging environment.
• Collaborate seamlessly with our multi-disciplinary clinical team to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual patient requirements.
• Maintain an organized and pristine treatment area as part of our commitment to high standards of care and cleanliness.
• Engage effectively with patients and their families to foster understanding of care plans and set clear expectations for rehabilitation goals.
• Comply with all clinic policies and regulatory requirements to uphold the highest standards of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a PTA, you will work with a diverse array of patient populations, including those recovering from orthopedic and neurological conditions, as well as post-surgical patients. By tailoring rehabilitation approaches to suit varying needs, you will be instrumental in empowering these individuals to regain functionality and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, along with a valid PTA license or the eligibility to obtain one in Nevada.
• Proficiency in rehabilitation techniques and treatment modalities with a solid understanding of human anatomy and functional movement.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, their families, and professional colleagues.
• The ability to work autonomously under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, demonstrating initiative and critical thinking.

Preferred Experience

• While we welcome new graduates, prior experience in a clinical environment is highly valued.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is advantageous for streamlined documentation and patient management.
• Experience with various patient populations, including those with orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical needs, is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $85,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
