Key Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to assess their physical conditions, limitations, and goals through thorough evaluations.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and develop tailored treatment plans that promote recovery and enhance mobility.
• Educate patients on the proper execution of therapeutic exercises and advanced rehabilitation techniques.
• Implement manual therapy techniques, including massage and mobilization, to alleviate pain and stimulate healing.
• Assist patients in using rehabilitative equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids effectively and safely.
• Document and maintain detailed patient records, tracking progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet goals.
• Advise patients and their families on in-home treatment options and exercises that complement their rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse clientele, ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients, each presenting various diagnoses including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Your expertise will directly impact this broad patient demographic, enabling you to develop specialized therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications

• A valid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficient in basic computer applications and electronic health record systems.
• Ability to remain agile and adaptable to a range of patient scenarios and therapeutic techniques.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred, new graduates who demonstrate clinical competence and a passion for rehabilitation are encouraged to apply. Mentorship opportunities for less experienced therapists are available to support professional development.

Compensation and Benefits
