Position Overview

The Florida Hand Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team in Winter Park, Florida. In this full-time position, you will play an essential role in assessing and treating patients with mobility restrictions, pain, or functional impairments. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patient recovery and improving their quality of life.

Work Environment

You will work onsite within our dynamic rehabilitation facility, equipped with cutting-edge therapeutic equipment and resources that foster a collaborative environment. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, with options for shift start times at either 8 AM or 9 AM, and the potential for four 10-hour shifts. The facility is designed to support a patient-centered approach, ensuring that all team members can coordinate efficiently and effectively to provide the best care possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their specific mobility limitations and functional impairments.
• Develop and implement tailored therapy plans that incorporate various treatment modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and educational interventions.
• Deliver high-quality hands-on treatment sessions aimed at improving patient mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Utilize rehabilitation technology and treatment tools that foster patient engagement and enhance the effectiveness of therapy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, psychologists, and physicians, to create a seamless continuum of care.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and home care strategies, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools necessary for optimal recovery.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout the process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals recovering from hand surgeries, trauma, and various orthopedic conditions. These patients often present with complex rehabilitation needs requiring customized therapeutic strategies. By providing targeted interventions, you will not only aid in their recovery but also help empower them to regain independence in daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; however, a Master's Degree is preferred.
• Active Florida Physical Therapist License or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and patients alike.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse patient populations and their families.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
• Prior experience working with hand injury patients and knowledge of specialized hand therapy techniques is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance patient documentation and treatment tracking.

Compensation and Benefits
