Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health evaluations to gain insights into each patient’s personal and cultural background, leading to effective treatment planning tailored to individual needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions across various modalities, which may include cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness practices, to foster healing and empowerment.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing mental health challenges, enhancing coping strategies, and promoting overall resilience.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care by sharing relevant insights and strategies.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to patients during mental health emergencies, utilizing calming techniques and de-escalation skills.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, available resources, and effective treatment options, ensuring that they are informed participants in their care.

• Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes.

• Participate actively in ongoing cultural competency training sessions and team discussions to continuously enhance understanding of diverse patient backgrounds.

• Stay abreast of the latest research changes in mental health treatment methodologies and cultural considerations to ensure best practices are adhered to in therapy sessions.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Tennessee.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering individual and group therapy sessions, particularly for marginalized communities.

• Strong skills in crisis intervention and the ability to navigate challenging scenarios with professionalism and calmness.

Compensation and Benefits\n
