Manager, Implementation - Project Management

Role Description

As a Manager, Implementation, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of Sphera’s Health & Safety, Environmental, and Corporate Sustainability Solutions. Your responsibilities include:

• Assigning and coordinating resources and monitoring billable time and budgets throughout the lifecycle of the project, from initiation through to delivery.
• Serving as liaison between the company and the client project manager to ensure that all targets and requirements are met on schedule and within budget.
• Creating and maintaining a positive team environment at the client.
• Providing subject matter expertise to clients to inform and guide system design and configuration in alignment with best practices.
• Conducting pre-project assessments to determine requirements, design workshops, and providing project proposals.

Project Management:

• Responsible for the timeliness and quality of the implementation of the solution, including all deliverables to the customer.
• Supervising all aspects of a project, including planning and task analysis, assigning appropriate resources, tracking progress, managing budgets, and leading activities such as readiness audits and lessons learned discussions.
• Creating and executing project work plans and revising them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Developing project planning documents using project management techniques, including project charters, scope statements, testing plans, and project schedules.
• Identifying and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders and influencers within engagements to identify new business opportunities.
• Managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
• Reviewing deliverables prepared by the project team before passing them to the client.
• Effectively applying methodology and enforcing project standards.
• Preparing for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
• Minimizing exposure and risk on projects.
• Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Providing project status reports and metrics.
• Tracking and reporting team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
• Determining appropriate revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and monitoring receivables for projects.
• Analyzing project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization.
• Contributing to the definition of the implementation delivery model and project execution methodology in support of Company strategy.

Sales Support:

• Working with Solution Engineers and Sales Executives to support sales opportunities and proposals (scoping, estimating, planning).
• Collaborating with existing clients and services teams to scope proposals and process statements of work.

Solution Consulting:

• Using subject matter expertise to facilitate solution design workshops with clients.
• Guiding clients by providing product insights and best practice methodologies.
• Developing solution configuration documents and performing requirements analysis.
• Developing solution reporting and integration design packages.
• Performing implementation work through system configuration, testing, training, and deployment as necessary.
• Mentoring and coaching client project team throughout the life cycle of the project.
• Collaborating with the Sphera product team to address project-related product enhancements and issues.
• Updating standard project templates for project-specific use.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or sufficient professional experience).

Requirements

• 3+ years of enterprise software implementation.
• Excellent technical and non-technical writing, editing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong project management and planning skills.
• Experienced and comfortable in supporting sales colleagues.
• Experience in discussing project planning and issues with customers.
• Able to perform in teams.
