Business Development Representative

Job Summary The Business Development Representative performs frontline banking functions and promotes the organization in the community for business development, thereby driving branch growth. Essential Job Functions Provide a complete range of customer services, thoroughly explain available products and services. Gather customer information to process new and existing accounts, and open and maintain accounts. Proactively cross‑sell UFB products and services based on customer needs. Apply product and procedural knowledge to identify, mitigate and solve customer problems effectively. Perform teller duties, input wire transfer requests, verify deposits, balance vault, review branch reports. Provide overrides/transaction decisions to tellers within procedural limits. Assist management as needed. Drive proactive sales conversations through internal and outbound interactions, appointment setting, lobby engagement. Continuously increase product and service knowledge for customer satisfaction. Represent UFB in community affairs and civic organizations. Achieve individual sales, referral, operational, and community involvement goals. Perform duties related to the Bank Secrecy Act under guidance of the BSA Officer. Education, Experience and Qualifications Associate degree preferred. Will consider 2+ years of general banking and finance experience in lieu of a degree. 1-year sales/marketing experience in a financial environment preferred. Physical Requirements The associate is frequently required to sit and/or stand, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools or controls typical of an office/bank environment. Lifting items up to 10 pounds consistently. Manual dexterity and coordination required over 80% of the work period while operating equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, etc. Working Conditions Typical office environment. Extended viewing of computer screens. Travel between branches or customer locations; overnight travel may be required. 40 hours per week minimum; Saturday rotation required.
