Key Responsibilities Conduct individual therapy sessions through video chat, providing a safe and supportive atmosphere for clients to discuss their mental health concerns. Encourage clients to explore their emotions and experiences while guiding them toward developing self-awareness and improved relationships. Act as an advocate for clients, assisting them in defining realistic and achievable personal goals. Evaluate clients' mental health status and design tailored treatment plans that employ solution-focused methodologies based on your professional expertise. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with other mental health professionals and administrative staff to ensure a cohesive approach to client care. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills and maintain licensure. Patient Population / Client Focus You will be working with a diverse group of clients, primarily stable adults with low acuity mental health concerns. All clients are carefully screened to ensure they are a good fit for the practice, and you will be matched with clients whose needs align with your areas of expertise and demographic preferences. This enables you to provide personalized care while minimizing the complexity of high-acuity cases, thereby fostering a more rewarding therapeutic experience. Qualifications A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. Current and valid full licensure (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in good standing with the state board, permitting independent and unsupervised practice. Strong interpersonal skills and a sympathetic nature, vital for effective client interaction. Proficiency in utilizing technology, including telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in outpatient mental health settings or teletherapy will be highly favored. Compensation and Benefits Kessler Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to USD 104,000 annually, based on your level of experience and the number of hours worked. In addition, we provide a generous sign-on bonus and a monthly healthcare stipend for full-time counselors.
