Legal Administrative Assistant

Legal Administrative Assistant – Law Firm – San Francisco Our client, a law firm has an immediate need for a Legal Administrative Assistant for their San Francisco office. This is a temporary. This role is in office 5 days a week. Start: ASAP Duration: 3-6 months (potential extension) Compensation: $45-50/hour General administrative support services Maintain calendar and contacts Room scheduling/reservations (individual and group meetings) Meet/greet clients; arrange meetings (including any beverage/food and AV requirements) Track monthly expenses, prepare expense reports and manage corporate card accounts Make travel arrangements Respond timely to emails requesting other assistance Documentation Proofread documents upon attorney request Perform photocopying, scanning, faxing, binding, filing, etc. Document formatting, following firm styles, finalizing document for filing including TOCs. Create and maintain files Prepare new client/matter forms; engagement letters, etc. Create binders Track attorney bar/court admissions/CLE information Conduct minor non-billable research for assigned attorneys (i.e., filings, court cases, patents, etc.) Enter attorney hours into time management system and manage contract attorney time as applicableReview and edit of monthly prebills Qualifications: 2+ years general office experience required, prior law firm experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. General knowledge of office equipment and tools. Strong Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and various document management tools. Ability to build rapport with attorneys and professional staff. Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail. Compensation: $45-50/hour Apply now to learn more! Physical Requirements Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations. Work is generally performed sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. This is a high-volume screen-based role, requiring constant, prolonged computer usage, including but not limited to: reviewing documents, managing visual content, and attending virtual meetings. Visual acuity required for computer use, data analysis, and extended reading. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and document handling. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Ability to lift and carry items weighting up to 15 pounds. Utilize company-issued or approved technology, including compliance with required security tools (e.g., VPN, multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection). Conduct work in a manner that protects the confidentiality of information, including taking reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access, viewing, or disclosure of sensitive materials. Follow all applicable information security, data privacy, and acceptable use policies as communicated by the Company. Promptly report any suspected security incidents, breaches, or system vulnerabilities in accordance with Company protocols.
