The Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Counselor position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while connecting with clients across various communities. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting initial mental health evaluations through virtual platforms to assess client needs, history, and presenting concerns.

• Documenting detailed case notes and treatment progress from the first consultation to discharge, ensuring comprehensive record-keeping in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Creating personalized treatment plans that include individual, couples, family, and group therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Facilitating individual therapy sessions and leading group therapy discussions, promoting engagement and openness among participants to foster healing and support.

• Regularly reviewing treatment plans to monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments in response to evolving needs and feedback.

• Collaborating closely with external healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to coordinate care and manage referrals effectively.

• Identifying potential barriers to recovery and implementing strategies to address challenges that arise, ensuring a proactive approach toward client care.

• Guiding and educating family members and caregivers in understanding mental health conditions and supporting their loved ones through recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our therapeutic services cater to a diverse client base dealing with various mental health issues, such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and relationship challenges. As a member of our team, you will work to support clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to suit the cultural and individual needs of clients will be essential.

Qualifications\n

• A current Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and active licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) in Illinois.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• At least two years of previous experience in mental health counseling, preferably in a clinical or telehealth setting.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically knowledge of AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards and best practices.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by empathetic and effective interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience treating clients with co-occurring disorders, including addiction and emotional health complications.

• In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects on mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
