Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings while working towards achieving their treatment goals.

• Observe and document essential patient information, ensuring accurate and timely records that reflect each individual's progress in accordance with established departmental standards.

• Prepare and maintain legible progress notes that capture the patient’s journey, including the challenges faced and milestones achieved, completed by the end of each shift.

• Advocate for patients’ needs, working closely with community resources and healthcare providers to optimize the care experience.

• Remain vigilant in recognizing any changes in patient behavior, reporting these shifts accurately to the treatment team to ensure immediate response and care adjustments.

• Employ crisis management techniques to de-escalate challenging situations, utilizing training in recognizing warning signs of aggressive behavior.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including adults, children, and families, each facing unique challenges in their mental health journeys. You will tailor your therapeutic approach to accommodate the specific needs of various demographics, integrating cultural competence within your practice. Your role will support individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health concerns.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid and active license as an LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD in the state of California.
