Insightful Journeys Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas. This full-time position allows for a remote work environment while providing comprehensive mental health services to children and adolescents. You will play a crucial role in helping young patients identify and address their mental health challenges through evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Work Environment\n

As a member of our team, you will be working in a remote capacity while engaging closely with our outpatient office setting. The typical work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some occasional evening shifts to accommodate the needs of our patients. This structure allows for flexibility while ensuring that our clients receive the support they require during their most troubling moments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their unique needs and concerns.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are responsive to developmental stages, cultural factors, and family dynamics.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and other modalities designed for children and adolescents.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, assisting parents and caregivers to foster nurturing environments that support the emotional well-being of their children.
\n
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated treatment plans.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention support during critical situations involving young clients to mitigate immediate mental health risks.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Actively engage in team meetings and case consultations to enhance collaborative care and improve treatment outcomes.
\n
• Stay up-to-date on recent research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry to continue providing the highest quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. The role requires a commitment to understanding the complex dynamics of youth mental health and intervening in a manner that is sensitive to the needs of both the young individual and their family. By fostering strong relationships built on trust and empathy, you will create a safe space for your clients to express their thoughts and feelings.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.

• Demonstrated expertise in child and adolescent mental health disorders along with familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Experience in delivering individual and family therapy tailored to young clients.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and child-centered approach.
\n
• A proactive ability to build rapport with children, adolescents, and their families effectively.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other computer applications related to clinical practice.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of direct clinical experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 105,000 per year, supplemented with performance-based bonuses and a competitive sign-on bonus.
