Work Environment\n

This remote role offers the flexibility to work from home while still feeling engaged with a collaborative outpatient team. Our work hours are primarily Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with the potential for occasional evening hours to accommodate client appointments. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use issues, identifying co-occurring disorders using standardized assessment tools.

• Collaboratively develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that address both the mental health and substance use aspects of a client’s needs.
\n
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, equipping clients with critical coping strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and emotional regulation skills to maintain recovery.

• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure integrated treatment approaches are aligned with each client’s goals.
\n
• Regularly monitor clients for substance use and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster motivation and engagement in their treatment journey.

• Offer educational resources to clients and their families, emphasizing the connection between mental health and substance use disorders, fostering understanding and encouraging treatment compliance.

• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all treatment interactions, decisions, and referrals in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case conferences and continuous training to enhance skills in co-occurring disorder treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals facing co-occurring disorders, requiring an understanding of the complex interplay between mental health and substance use challenges. You will engage with a diverse client base, tailoring interventions to meet varied cultural, social, and personal histories to promote effective recovery strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based interventions for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Excellent interpersonal skills and team collaboration abilities, with a commitment to providing empathetic and supportive care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting dealing with mental health and substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and best practices for remote therapy.

• Experience in group facilitation and treatment planning within a multi-disciplinary team.
