Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist in New York, NY.Key Tasks:

• Lead full-cycle AP operations from invoice receipt through payment and reconciliation
• Review AP registers, payment activity, and vendor issues
• Support month-end close and other AP-related accounting activities
• Ensure expenses are properly allocated across programs and funding sources
• Partner with Accounting leadership

Skills

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong experience managing full-cycle Accounts Payable operations
• Prior experience supervising AP staff
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct or similar accounting software
• Solid accounting knowledge, including reconciliations and month-end close support
• Understanding of allocations and multiple funding sources
• Invoice processing, payment runs, vendor management, reconciliations, and month-end support
• Professional communication and collaborative leadership style
• Nonprofit and fund accounting experience preferred
• Advanced Excel skills are a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
